OrganoNutri Instant Jowar Idli Mix is a ready-to-use mix that can be used to make idlis at home. It is made with a blend of jowar, black gram dal, chana dal, rice, sunflower oil, salt, lemon juice powder, fenugreek, baking soda, and citric acid.



To make idlis with the mix, simply add sour curd and water to the mix, and then steam it in an idli steamer. The mix will yield about 30 idlis.

Ingredients:

  • Ragi flour
  • Rice flour
  • Salt
  • Spices

Instructions:

  1. Combine 1 cup of OrganoNutri Instant Ragi Idli Mix with 1 cup of water in a bowl.
  2. Mix well until the batter is smooth.
  3. Cover the bowl with a lid and let the batter ferment for at least 3 hours, or up to overnight.
  4. Preheat a steamer.
  5. Grease the idli molds with oil or ghee.
  6. Once the batter has fermented, spoon it into the idli molds.
  7. Steam the idlis for 10-12 minutes, or until they are cooked through.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite chutney or sambar.

Tips for making ragi idlis:

  • Use warm water to mix the batter. This will help the batter to ferment faster.
  • Cover the bowl with a lid to prevent the batter from drying out.
  • Let the batter ferment in a warm place. The ideal temperature for fermentation is 75-85 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • If the batter does not ferment after 3 hours, you can add a pinch of sugar to help it ferment.
  • Steam the idlis in a steamer that is filled with enough water to create steam.
  • Do not overcook the idlis. They should be cooked through, but they should not be dry.
