To make Hyderabadi Veg Dum Biryani with OrganoNutri Hyderabadi Veg Dum Biryani Masala Mix, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup chopped vegetables (such as carrots, potatoes, peas, and green beans)
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup yogurt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup cilantro leaves, for garnish

Instructions:

  • Rinse the rice in cold water until the water runs clear. Soak the rice in water for 30 minutes.
  • Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until softened and translucent, about 5 minutes. Add the tomatoes and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
  • Add the vegetables to the pot and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until they are tender-crisp.
  • Add the ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, chili powder, and salt to the pot and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  • Add the yogurt and water to the pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Drain the rice and add it to the pot. Stir to combine.
  • Cover the pot and cook for 20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked through.
